RE: Who are you? (The self-introduction thread)
Hi @mariken_muis and @Michael , it's nice to see people and mice posting here again.

RE: Crowdfunded book project: Shareware Heroes
Ugh, I still haven't bought this. Every time I go to I think maybe it'll get a second edition with extra stuff, like the Mac one did...

RE: BYOND Deep Dive, or: an essay on "dead" games
@spindleyq A BYOND episode would be really cool.

RE: Break Into Chat interviews with BBS door game creators
Oh wow, nice find!
I missed the whole BBS thing, but have had a bit of a poke at them within the last year or so.

RE: Interview with Judith Pintar at The Digital Antiquarian

Oh hey @trouv, I'm Blueberry (or something like that) on the ALT G's Discord. The illustrator for Braid was from some forums kinda tangential to this place :) Dunno what he's doing now, but their comic A Lesson is Learned was something I liked a lot back then.
... I wonder if there's a Fringe Boardgames History Podcast

Hey intro thread.
I'm Rylie. I make games under the name Blueberry Soft.
I like little communities, knowledge sharing, wikis, DIY-whatever, tools, my garden, my cat.
If you're curious about me I have lots of websites and things you can probably find from this starting point: https://www.ryliejamesthomas.net/

RE: Episode 3: Roman Banias discussion thread
I guess kids' games often start in bedrooms?

RE: Episode 3: Roman Banias discussion thread
@spindleyq 'Fraid not!
But I remember the first room looking something like this, but with nice VGA colours of course.
Something else this show made me remember was I sometimes made install disks for games I never actually made. I'd make a label, a README.DOC and a little batch file to unzip an archive to somewhere :D

RE: bitsy
Though-- er-- that actually would fit the 'kinda inspired by' criteria better than the game I'm trying to remember, I guess. This one just looks really similar.

RE: bitsy
@kirkjerk Yeah, it feels similar scale wise (also what's the game Emotica is kinda inspired by...?). But without the kinda neat layer of emoji repurposing / association play.
I think I only tried Bitsy last year maybe? It feels like ages ago, and looks like there's lots more now.
Also I saw you released a tool for it today @candle ?

RE: Episode 4: Jonah Davidson discussion thread
The game was included in his RPG Maker translation iirc. That's probably why you can't find it anywhere.

RE: Episode 3: Roman Banias discussion thread
Me and my brothers made games together, so this was fun to hear about. Actually maybe we just worked on one adventure game that didn't o far, but had some really laborious graphics! There was a very well rendered lampshade.
Seemed like a natural continuation of little bands and some we'd make with relatives and the kids across the road and stuff.
